Itch or Rattle Noise In Rear Seat, C-Pillar Garnish Trim or Lower Door Area (Apply Weatherstrip Lubricant)

Condition
Some customers may comment on a itching or rattling noise in the rear seat, C-pillar garnish trim or lower door area when driving. Other customers may
comment that the noise is coming from the door trim panel.
Cause
This condition may be caused by the door seal weatherstrip itching against the door frame. This noise may occur at any or all of the doors.
Correction
Important:
Use a lint-free cloth or glove when cleaning and applying the weatherstrip lubricant. Apply weatherstrip lubricant to all door seals using the
steps below.
1.
Clean the front and rear door seal weatherstrips with general adhesive cleaner.
2.
Apply weatherstrip lubricant to the front door seal starting at the center B-pillar beltline (1) down toward the rocker and then back up to the
A-pillar as shown above.
3.
Apply weatherstrip lubricant to the rear door seal starting at the quarter panel beltline (1) down toward the rocker and then back up to the center
B-pillar beltline as shown above.
4.
Wipe off any excess lubricant.
5.
Repeat this entire procedure for the opposite side doors.
