CTS RWD V6-3.6L (2008)
Ensure there are no gaps in the threadlocker along the length of the filled area of the bolts.
6. Allow the threadlocker to cure approximately 10 minutes before installation.
7. Using a backup wrench on the brake caliper guide pin, install the brake caliper guide pin bolts (1).

For JE5, tighten the bolts to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

For J55, tighten the bolts to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).
8. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) (See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair)Hydraulic Brake

9. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair) .
10. With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
11. Slowly release the brake pedal.
12. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 10 and 11 until a firm brake pedal apply is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake
pads.
13. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the proper level. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling (See: Brake Master Cylinder/Service and
Repair/Procedures/Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling) .
