Removal Procedure
1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7) (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery
and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LY7) VIN 7 W/O Direct Fuel Injection)Fuel Injector

3. Remove the air outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LY7) (See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner

4. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the intake manifold.
5. Disconnect the purge solenoid valve electrical connector.
