3. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
4. Install but do not tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield lower bolt.
5. Lower the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .
6. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield upper bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
7. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
8. Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield lower bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
9. Install the center intermediate shaft to the lower intermediate shaft. Refer to Lower Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (See: Steering and
Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Lower Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement) .
10. Lower the vehicle.
