Front Caster and Camber Adjustment (RWD)

Tools Required

J 45845 Caster and Camber Adjusting Tool

J-45845-10 Caster and Camber Adjusting Rod

1. Install the J 45845  or the J-45845-10  to the lower control arm and the frame.
2. Loosen the front and rear lower control arm to frame nuts and bolts.
3. Adjust the camber angle by turning the turnbuckle on J 45845  or the J-45845-10  until the specifications have been met.

Tighten the bolt to 135 N.m (96 lb ft).

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .

4. Tighten the front control to frame bolt.

Tighten the front control arm bolt to 200 N.m (148 lb ft).

5. Tighten the rear control arm to frame bolt.

Tighten the front control arm bolt to 320 N.m (236 lb ft).

6. Verify that the camber is still with specifications. Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications  (See: Specifications) .
7. Adjust the rear toe. Refer to Rear Toe Adjustment  (See: Rear Toe Adjustment) .
