Subject: Right or Left Rear Window May Express Down Without Request (Apply Sealer)

This bulletin is being revised to update the material information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 08-08-64-016B (Section 08 - Body and
Accessories).
Condition
Some customers may comment that the right or left rear door window may express down at times without request.
Cause
There may be water intrusion in dock-n-lock connector caused by a water leak at the top of the door. The water enters under the door seal and tracks
down the inner door frame in the pillar area, behind the plastic garnish molding and drops down onto the dock-n-lock.
Correction
1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Check the dock-n-lock connector for water or corrosion. Dry out the connector and if corrosion is present, replace the affected terminals.
3. Before the trim panel is reinstalled, make sure the round foam gaskets are present on the door trim locating pins. Replace as necessary.
4. Remove the weatherstrip at the top of the door and apply a small amount of Kent High Tech Seam Sealer, Clear, P/N10200*, or the equivalent, to
the door frame as shown in the illustration. Apply sealer from where the run channel retainer stops down to where it starts again. Install the
weatherstrip to the door and remove any excess sealer.
