3. Install the NEW fuel pressure sensor (1) to the fuel injection fuel rail (2) hand tight.
4. Remove the NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor, re-lubricate following steps 1 and 2 above.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .
5. Install the NEW fuel pressure sensor (1) to the fuel injection fuel rail (2).
Tighten the sensor to 33 N.m (25 lb ft).
6. Connect the fuel injector wiring harness electrical connector to the fuel pressure sensor.
7. Install the foam insulator from the fuel rails.
8. Install the low side fuel pressure service port cap.
Important: If a fuel leak accrues at the fuel rail, the fuel rail will need to be replaced.
9. Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
2. Turn OFF the ignition, for 10 seconds.
3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
10. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair
) .
11. Install the cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Frame/Cross-Member/Service and Repair/Cross
Vehicle Brace Replacement) .
