Condition
Certain 2008 and 2009 model year Cadillac CTS vehicles and 2009 model year Cadillac CTS-V vehicles registered in Canada, Alaska, Colorado,
Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota,
Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah,
Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming may have a condition where water may enter the front door latch housing and
potentially freeze. If water enters the latch housing and freezes, the customer may not be able to open the front doors using the outside door handle, or
the door may not latch when the door is closed. If the door does not latch, the interior lamps will illuminate, a message will display on the driver
information center warning that the door is not closed, and a chime will sound for 4 seconds.
Correction
Dealers are to seal the latch housing on both front doors to prevent water intrusion.

Involved are 2008 and 2009 model year Cadillac CTS vehicles and 2009 model year Cadillac CTS-V vehicles built within these VIN breakpoints:

Dealers are to confirm vehicle eligibility prior to beginning repairs by using GMVIS (dealers using WINS), Investigate Vehicle History link
(dealers using GWM). Not all vehicles within the above breakpoints may be involved.
For dealers with involved vehicles, a listing with involved vehicles containing the complete vehicle identification number, customer name, and address
information has been prepared and will be provided to US and Canadian dealers through the GM GlobalConnect Recall Reports. Dealers will not have a
report available if they have no involved vehicles currently assigned.
The listing may contain customer names and addresses obtained from Motor Vehicle Registration Records. The use of such motor vehicle registration
data for any purpose other than follow-up necessary to complete this program is a violation of law in several states/provinces/countries. Accordingly, you
are urged to limit the use of this report to the follow-up necessary to complete this program.
Parts Information
An initial supply of mastic material required to complete this program was pre-shipped to involved dealers of record beginning December 1, 2009.
Additional parts, if required, are to be obtained from General Motors Service and Parts Operations (GMSPO). Please refer to your "involved vehicles
listing" before ordering parts. Normal orders should be placed on a DRO = Daily Replenishment Order. In an emergency situation, parts should be
ordered on a CSO = Customer Special Order. This part number will not be managed by RIM; it has been excluded from RIM.
