Sunroof Sunshade Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the sunshade to the fully open position.
2. Remove the rear sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement - Rear   (See: Sunroof / Moonroof Panel/Service and Repair).

3. Push inward on the cable guides tabs (1) located at each end of the cross bar (2) then grasp the front corners of the sunshade, roll the sunshade

counterclockwise to release tension on the cable guides tabs (1).

Important:  If the sunshade spring releases, it will be necessary to rewind it. Refer to step one in the install procedure. 

A new service part sunshade comes pre-loaded with a pin tool holding spring tension on the sunshade. If the sunshade spring releases, it
