Removal Procedure
1. Block the rear drive wheels.
2. Release the electronic park brake cable tension, if equipped. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling (Electric Park Brake) (See:
Procedures/Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling (Electric Park Brake)).
3. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
5. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (With LY7 or LLT) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust
System/Service and Repair).
6. Remove the right rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service
and Repair).
7. Disconnect the park brake cable eye (1) from the park brake actuator lever.
