Installation Procedure

1. Position the battery negative cable extension cable (2) to the vehicle.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

2. Install the Battery Cable Terminal Bolt (1).

Tighten the bolt to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

3. Install the battery negative cable ground bolt (1).

20 Nm (15 lb ft).

4. Install the front compartment side sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Spoilers,

Flaps, and Air Dams/Air Dam/Service and Repair/Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Replacement).
