Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

Note:  Position the bolt (3)  behind and outside of the J 45012.

8. Using the J 45012 - holder  (1) and the J 34826 - socket  (2) , tighten the pinion nut to245 Nm (181 lb ft).
9. Install the propeller shaft. Refer to Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (RPO LP1/LY7)   (See: Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and

10. Inspect the rear drive axle lubricant level. Refer to Rear Axle Lubricant Level Inspection   (See: Fluid - Differential/Service and Repair/Procedures

).

11. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (With LY7 or LLT)   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust

System/Service and Repair).

12. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
