Backup Lamp Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical connector (3).
3. Remove the backup lamp switch wire harness from the bracket.
4. Using a 22 mm angle head open end wrench, or equivalent, remove the backup lamp switch (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Apply sealant to the threads of the backup lamp switch. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers   (See: Transmission and

Drivetrain/Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Specifications/Fluid Type Specifications) for the recommended sealant material.
