15. Using a flat-blade tool, release the left side shift control rod pin retainer, then remove the pin. The graphic shows the transmission removed for

clarity.

16. Remove the shift control assembly from the transmission. Remove the shift control assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Note:  Before installing the shifter, align shifter by installing the alignment pin (1). If a new shifter assembly is being installed, ensure the shifter is
in the Neutral position and the alignment pin is fully seated

1. Install the alignment pin.
