5. Allow the transfer case to drain completely.
Installation Procedure
1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12378470, (Canadian P/N 10952622), or equivalent to the threads of the drain plug.
Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Component Fastener
Tightening Caution).
2. Install the drain plug (8) and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
3. Fill the transfer case to the bottom of the fill plug hole with Mobil LT fluid GM P/N 88861950, (Canadian P/N 88861951).
4. Install the fill plug (6) and tighten with hand plus 1.25 turns using the DT-48371 .
5. Lower the vehicle.
