5. Add hydraulic fluid from a clean container (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (See: Locks/Specifications/Fluid Type
Specifications) for the recommended fluid.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
6. Install the filler screw and tighten to 1.3 Nm (12 lb in).
7. Position the liftgate hydraulic actuator pump (1) on a clean/level workbench horizontally to the + sign to accurately inspect and add fluid as
needed.
