Removal Procedure
1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7) (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air
Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement)Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) (See:

2. Remove the upper intake manifold with the lower intake manifold. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (LP1, LY7) (See: Intake
Manifold/Service and Repair/Intake Manifold Replacement).
3. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connectors.
4. Remove the wiring harness from the side of the camshaft cover by sliding the conduit down and outboard.
5. Remove the wiring conduit retainers from the camshaft cover by rotating the wiring harness conduit retainers counterclockwise.
