Caution: In order to prevent any possible electrostatic discharge damage to the ECM, do not touch the connector pins.
5. Connect and lock the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (1) to the ECM (2).
6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Sedan,Wagon) (See: Starting and
Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Negative/Service and Repair/Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection).
7. Program the ECM, if required. Refer to Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning).
8. Turn OFF the ignition for a least 5 seconds after the programming event is complete.
9. If equipped with a manual transmission, perform the clutch pedal position sensor learn procedure. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Learn (
