Removal Procedure
1. Remove the clutch assembly. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement (CTS) (See: Service and Repair)Clutch Assembly Replacement (CTS-V) (
See: Service and Repair).
2. Remove the clutch pilot bearing using the J 23907 - slide hammer with bearing adapter (1) and J 2619-01 - slide hammer (2).
1. Install the legs of the J 23907 - slide hammer with bearing adapter (1) into the clutch pilot bearing.
2. Rotate the shaft of the tool until the legs of the tool are snug and contacting the I.D. surface of the bearing.
3. Install the J 2619-01 - slide hammer (2) to the J 23907 - slide hammer with bearing adapter (1).
4. Remove the bearing from the rear of the crankshaft.
5. Remove the J 23907 - slide hammer with bearing adapter (1) and J 2619-01 - slide hammer (2) from the bearing.
