Dealer, Owner and Parts Information
DEALER CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITY
Dealers are to service all vehicles involved in this campaign at no charge to the owners, regardless of mileage, age of vehicle or ownership.
All unsold new vehicles in dealers' stock subject to this campaign must be held and the campaign inspection/repair performed prior to retail sale.
Whenever a vehicle subject to this campaign is taken into used car inventory, dealers are to take the steps necessary to ensure that the campaign
correction has been completed before reselling the vehicle.
Dealers are to perform the campaign correction on all affected vehicles as they are brought in for any kind of service utilizing the Vehicle Information
Service System (VISS) to confirm campaign status.
OWNER NOTIFICATION
Owners of vehicles affected by this campaign will be notified by letter from Cadillac Motor Car Division. A copy of the owner letter is attached.
PARTS INFORMATION
The parts required to complete this campaign should be obtained from the Parts Distribution Centers of General Motors Service Parts Operations
(GMSPO). A description is provided below:

If there is difficulty obtaining these parts using normal ordering procedures, dealers may place a "CIO" order using advise code "2" with no special
instruction code. Also, these parts may be ordered on a "VIP" order, however, unless prior zone approval is obtained, dealers will be required to absorb
any surcharge involved.
NOTICE:
An initial supply of one (1) BTSI Solenoid will be preshipped to dealers who have vehicle(s) involved in this campaign. This part will be charged to
dealer's open parts account. Additional parts requirements should be ordered as described above. It is estimated that one (1) in four (4) vehicles inspected
will require part replacement. Please order parts accordingly.
