Service Procedure

1.

Raise vehicle on hoist. Refer to Section 0A of the 1994 DeVille Service Information Manual for hoist recommendations.

2.

Inspect the transaxle identification plate. Refer to illustration for I.D. plate location and legend example.

If the transaxle Julian Date information indicates 258, 259, 262, 263, 264 or 292, the transaxle must be replaced. Proceed to Step 3.

If the transaxle Julian Date information is other than listed above, do not replace the transaxle. Proceed to Step 5.

Replace transaxle assembly. Refer to Section 7A of the 1994 DeVille Service Information Manual for transaxle replacement procedure. Note that
transaxle cooler and lines must be flushed when replaying transaxle.

4.

The removed transaxle assembly must be crated in the original shipping container and returned to GMSPO in the usual manner with the
appropriate information included.

Important:

Transaxle cores must have a completed Product Feedback form attached. This form must include the VIN, mileage and campaign number. This
information will aid in the timely processing of transaxle core credit.

5.

Lower vehicle and install Campaign Completion Label.

CAMPAIGN COMPLETION LABEL

Each vehicle corrected in accordance with the instructions outlined in this bulletin will require a Campaign Completion Label (Cat. No. S-1015). Each
label provides space to include campaign number 95-C-08 and the five-digit dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service. This information
may be inserted with a typewriter or a ball point pen. Dealers are to ensure that these numbers are recorded and the label is properly affixed on a clean,
dry surface of the radiator core support in an area clearly visible when the hood is raised.

OWNER NOTIFICATION

Owners of vehicles affected by this campaign will be notified by letter from Cadillac Motor Car Division. A copy of the owner letter is included.
