Blower Motor: Description and Operation
Blower Controls

These buttons on the climate control panel (CCP) will control fan speed operation. If the AUTO button is selected, the blower fan will operate
automatically based on the various inputs to the system.

If the top arrow of the fan control button is pressed once, the blower fan speed will increase slightly and the climate control panel will display HI AUTO.
The blower fan will operate automatically, similar to the AUTO setting except at slightly faster speeds. If the fan button is pressed twice, the fan will
always run at a fixed high rate of speed and HI will be displayed on the climate control panel. This is an override of the automatic fan speed control.

If the bottom arrow of the fan control button is pressed once, the blower fan speed will decrease slightly and the climate control panel will display AUTO
LO. The blower fan will operate automatically, similar to the AUTO setting except at slightly slower speeds. If the fan button is pressed twice, the fan
will always run at a fixed low rate of speed and LO will be displayed on the CCP. This, like the HI setting, is also an override of the automatic fan speed
control.

Pressing the AUTO button will return the blower fan speed control to the initial automatic operation. Pressing either the top or bottom fan button will
shift the blower fan speed control upward or downward through the additional automatic operations HI AUTO or LO AUTO to either of the fixed blower
speeds of HI or LO.

The blower motor is located left of center in the A/C module. The blower motor is a brush less type and operates at various speeds determined by the
heater and A/C programmer. The balance of the brushless blower motor is very sensitive to handling. When the blower motor is serviced, care should be
taken to minimize the amount of blower motor handling.
