Power Steering Fluid Reservoir: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Serpentine belt.
2. Power steering fluid from reservoir.
3. Return pipe from reservoir.
4. Pressure pipe from pump.
5. Pump mounting bolt.
6. Remove pump, reservoir, pulley and bracket assembly from vehicle.
7. Pump and reservoir from bracket.
8. Retaining clips that attach reservoir to pump.
9. Pulley from pump.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Pulley to pump as described below.
2. Retaining clips that attach reservoir to pump.
3. Pump and reservoir to bracket.

^

Pump to bracket bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

4. Position pump, reservoir, pulley and bracket assembly into vehicle.
5. Pump mounting bolt to engine.

Pump mounting bolt to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

6. Pressure pipe to pump.

^

Pressure pipe fitting to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
