b. Once installed, pull on both ends of connection to make sure connection is secure.
5. Fuel tank.
6. Retaining hardware.
7. Repeat connect procedure for fuel filter area fuel pipe quick-connect fittings.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. Tighten fuel filler cap.
10. Negative battery terminal.

Turn ignition switch to "ON" position for two seconds, then turn to "OFF" for five seconds. Again, turn to "ON" position and check for fuel
leaks.
REAR EVAP PIPE AND HOSE REPLACEMENT
NOTE: If nylon pipes become kinked, and cannot be straightened, they must be replaced.

Do Not attempt to repair sections of nylon pipes. If damaged, replace.

When replacing EVAP pipes, always replace them with original equipment or parts that meet the GM specifications for those parts.

When replacing EVAP hoses always replace them with original equipment or parts meeting GM specifications. Use only reinforced
fuel-resistant hose which is identified with the word Fluroelastomer or GM 6163-M on the hose.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Hardware retaining section of pipe to be replaced.

Note location of attaching hardware for installation.
2. Fuel tank.
3. EVAP pipe at fuel tank vent valve.
4. EVAP pipe near fuel filter.
5. Section of pipe.

Inspect hoses for cuts, swelling, cracks and distortion. Replace as required.

Check Pipes for holes, kinks and cracks. Replace sections as required.
INSTALL OR CONNECT

Follow the same routing as the original pipes and hoses.

Pipes and hoses must be properly secured to prevent chafing.
1. EVAP pipe at fuel tank vent valve.
2. Fuel tank.
3. EVAP pipe near fuel filter.
4. Retaining hardware.
