Driver/Vehicle Information Display: Description and Operation
FUEL USED
The FUEL USED message is the number of gallons or liters used since the last parameter reset. The IPC calculates the fuel used parameter as follows:
Fuel Used = Fuel Sum x Scale Factor.
In order to reset, display the fuel used parameter and press the RESET (digital) or INFO RESET (analog) button for at least 1 second. The data used in
order to calculate the fuel used is lost if a battery disconnect occurs. The message contains dashes if the IPC is unable to communicate with the PCM via
the class 2 serial data line. This message may be suppressed by using the override option E. Refer to A Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster
The data is lost if the battery is disconnected.
