The IPC displays the PHONE NOT PRESENT message under the following conditions:

The phone initialization data is not available on the class 2 serial data line.

The IPC override option sets, indicating that a factory phone is installed in the vehicle.
The conditions under which the message displays is an indication that the cellular telephone module is not communicating to the IPC on the class 2 serial
data line.
