Brake Warning Indicator: Description and Operation
Brake Warning System
The IPC illuminates the PARK indicator when one of the following conditions exists.

The park brake is applied, the park brake switch closes and a low (ground) condition exists at IPC connector C2 terminal A1 (CKT 1134, LT
BLU) and the ignition switch is in the RUN or START positions.

The ignition switch is turned to RUN, a five to seven second bulb check is performed by the IPC.
The IPC illuminates the BRAKE indicator when one of the following conditions exists.

The brake fluid level is low, the brake fluid level switch closes and a low (ground) condition exists at IPC connector C2 terminal All (CKT 849,
PNK) and the ignition switch is in the RUN or START positions. Also, this condition results in a medium rate chime being activated and the
message recheck Brake Fluid" being displayed on the Driver Information Center.

The ignition switch is turned to RUN, a five to seven second bulb check is performed by the IPC.
