9. Remove the door handle assemble from the door in the following order:

1. Push upward on the two lower retaining tabs.
2. Remove the handle, with the latch rod and lock cylinder attached, by lifting up and out.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the door handle assembly into the door in the following order:

1. Insert the rods through the cut out.
2. Rotate the handle into position.
3. Apply up and inward pressure until the two lower retaining tabs on the handle engage the door.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the outside door handle fasteners through the access holes.

Tighten the fasteners to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

3. Connect the lock cylinder harness electrical connector to the door harness (driver door only).

4. Through the rear access hole of the inner panel, connect the outside lock rod (1) to the door latch (6) (driver door only).
