Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement

Removal Procedure

The head restraint retainers (1) can be released without disassembling front seat.

The front seat head restraint is removed from the seat back by pushing the release buttons on the headrest retainers (1) and pulling up on the head
restraint. 

The release buttons on the head restraint retainers are located opposite the notches on the head restraint shafts.

1. Fully extend the head restraint (1).
2. Push in on the seat back directly below the head restraint shaft (2) in order to locate the position of the head restraint retainers.

The release buttons for the head restraint are located at the top of the retainers.

3. Push forward on the rear of the seat back (2), at the retainer location, and pull up on the head restraint (1) in order to remove the front seat head

restraint (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Align the head restraint (1) with the openings in the seat back. 

The notches on the head restraint shaft face the front of the vehicle.

2. Push the head restraint (1) downward into the seat back in order to engage the head restraint into the retainers.
3. Check for proper operation of the head restraint.
