Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Shelf (Without Sunshade) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Shelf
(With Sunshade) in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the rear compartment trim. Refer to Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement - Rear in Body Rear End.
4. Remove the 2 yaw rate sensor mounting nuts (1).
5. Remove the yaw rate sensor (3).
6. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector (2).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the yaw rate sensor (3).

Tighten the 2 yaw rate sensor mounting nuts (1 ) to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
3. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Shelf (Without Sunshade) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Shelf (With
Sunshade) in Interior Trim.
4. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement - Rear in Body Rear End.
5. Perform the ABS Diagnostic System Check. Refer to A Diagnostic System Check - ABS. See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and
