Brake Master Cylinder: Service and Repair
Master Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
2. Remove the electrical connector (1) from the fluid level sensor.

3. Remove the brake pipes from the master cylinder. Plug the open pipes to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
4. Remove the two attaching nuts (2).
5. Remove the master cylinder (1).
6. Remove the reservoir if it is to be used on the replacement master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the reservoir onto the master cylinder.
