Engine Block Heater: Service and Repair
Coolant Heater Replacement - Left
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Air Deflector Replacement - Front.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector at the engine block heater (1).
4. Remove the block heater retaining bolt.
5. Remove the block heater (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the block heater (1).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the block heater retaining bolt.
Tighten the block heater retaining bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
3. Connect the electrical connector to the block heater (1).
4. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Air Deflector Replacement - Front.
5. Lower the vehicle.
