Audible Warning Device: Description and Operation
ABS Chime

The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) sets DTCs related to the ABS system and sends a class 2 serial data message requesting illumination of
the ABS indicator. If the IPC detects a loss of communication with the EBCM, the IPC uses the status of the back-up discrete ABS indicator signal to
determine whether the IPC should illuminate the ABS indicator. The IPC sends a class 2 serial data message requesting the radio to activate a single
pulse chime. The IPC also illuminates the TRACTION CONTROL indicator and displays the SERVICE STABILITY SYS message on the DIC.
