This bulletin is being revised to update the model years, repair procedure and parts information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 01-03-08-004
(Section 03 - Suspension).
Condition
Some customers may comment on a firm, harsh or rough rear seat ride condition that is most pronounced when the vehicle is operated on irregular type
road surfaces.
Correction
Improved front and rear suspension components are now available from GMSPO. Perform the following repair procedure.
Repair Procedure
Important:
Prior to performing the following repair, it is important to determine the curb weight of the vehicle in order to make the proper front spring
selection.
1.
Contact the GM Cadillac Coachbuilder Representative at 800-528-5515 or 810-469-8400 and provide the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
for vehicle weight information.
2.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3.
Remove all four wheel and tire assemblies.
4.
Remove and discard the rear stabilizer shaft and associated components. Perform the following:

Remove and discard the rear stabilizer shaft link and associated components (bolt, washer, insulators, spacer and nut).
