DeVille DHS V8-4.6L VIN Y (2000)
5. Disconnect the ABS sensor wire connector and remove the harness.
6. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the control arm.
7. Remove the ABS sensor. Refer to Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement - Rear (w/FE7) in Brakes and Traction Control.
8. Remove the four bearing and hub retainer bolts (1).
9. Remove the reluctor. Refer to Wheel Speed Sensor Ring Replacement - Rear (w/FE7) in Brakes and Traction Control.
10. Remove the hub and bearing. If replacing the wheel bearing, remove the bearing nut and washer.
11. Remove the brake shield.
12. Remove the wheel bearing.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the wheel bearing into the hub.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the washer and bearing nut.
Tighten the wheel bearing nut to 200 Nm (147 ft. lbs.).
3. Clean the control arm face and bore before installing the hub and bearing.
4. Install the brake shield.
5. Install the hub and bearing to the control arm with four new bolts (1).
Tighten the hub and bearing bolts to 118 Nm (87 ft. lbs.).
6. Install a new ABS reluctor. Refer to Wheel Speed Sensor Ring Replacement - Rear (w/FE7) in Brakes and Traction Control.
7. Install a new ABS sensor. Refer to Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement - Rear (w/FE7) in Brakes and Traction Control.
8. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Rear (Without J55) or Brake Rotor Replacement - Rear (J55) in Brakes and Traction
Control.
9. Install the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Rear (Without J55) or Brake Caliper Replacement - Rear (J55) in Brakes and
Traction Control.
