Headliner Replacement (w/CF5)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front bucket seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket  (See: Seats/Service and Repair/Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
2. Remove the center console, if equipped. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor (DTS, w/o UV8)  (See: Console/Service and Repair/Console

3. Remove center seat, if equipped. Refer to Seat Replacement - Center (w/o UV8)  (See: Seats/Service and Repair/Seat Replacement - Center

(Without RPO Code UV8))Seat Replacement - Center (UV8)  (See: Seats/Service and Repair/Seat Replacement - Center (With RPO Code UV8))
in Seats.

4. Remove the windshield pillar trim. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar  (See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Garnish

5. Remove the center pillar trim. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar.
6. Remove the sail panels. Refer toSail Panel Replacement  (See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Sail Panel Replacement) .

Notice:  If the vehicle is equipped with rear vanity mirrors, the rear vanity mirrors must be removed before the removal of the headliner or damage
to the roof may result.

7. Remove the rear vanity mirrors, if equipped. Refer to Vanity Mirror Replacement - Rear  (See: Mirrors/Service and Repair/Vanity Mirror

Replacement - Rear) .

8. Remove the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement  (See: Sun Visor/Service and Repair/Sunshade Replacement) .
9. Disconnect the windshield outside moisture sensor electrical connector.

10. Disconnect the rearview mirror electrical connectors.
11. Pull the door opening moldings down to clear headliner.
12. Remove the assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement  (See: Passenger Assist Handle/Service and Repair) .

13. Disconnect the headliner wiring harness connector.

14. Open the wire harness retainers and remove the harness.

Notice:  Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.

15. Release the push-in retainers at the rear of the headliner, if equipped.
