Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the front air deflector.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor (1).
4. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Lubricate the O-ring with 525 refrigerant oil.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor (1). 

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

3. Install the electrical connector to the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
4. Install the front air deflector.
5. Lower the vehicle.
