DeVille DTS V8-4.6L VIN 9 (2002)
1. Install the new left and right scavenger seals.
2. install the new left and right scavenger screens.
3. Install the bottom pan, seal, and bolts.
Finger-tighten the bolts.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Tighten the pan bolts 3 times to the proper specification, in the sequence shown:
4.1.
Tighten the pan bolts to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
4.2.
Tighten the pan bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
4.3.
Tighten the pan bolts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Add DEXRON-III transmission fluid as required.
