DeVille DTS V8-4.6L VIN 9 (2002)
1. Install the rear shoulder belt retractor (4). Engage the tabs on the retractor (4) to the notches on the hinge box reinforcement ears.
2. Install the seat belt retractor through bolt (1) and hand tighten the bolt.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the rear seat shoulder belt retractor nut (3) and hand tighten the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat shoulder belt fasteners (1, 3) to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
4. Install the seat belt retractor access cover (2).
5. Verify that the shoulder belt (1) is not twisted. Align the anchor plate between the dimples in the floor pan, with the seat belt side of the plate
facing forward.
6. Install the anchor bolt (2).
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat outer bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
7. Install the rear seat back.
