Tire Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair
Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle on a suitable support. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the tire from the wheel.
4. Remove the TPM sensor nut.
5. Remove the TPM sensor.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the sensor.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the sensor nut.

For Domestic vehicles, tighten the nut to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).

For export vehicles, tighten the nut to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
3. Install the tire on the wheel.
4. Install the tire and wheel.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Program the TPM sensors. See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning
