DeVille DTS V8-4.6L VIN 9 (2002)
1. Install the steering knuckle to the strut.

Tighten the strut to knuckle bolts to 177 Nm (131 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect the lower ball joint.

Tighten the ball joint stud nut to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.), then tighten an additional 190°.
3. Install a new cotter pin.
4. Install the tie rod.

Tighten the tie rod end to knuckle nut to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) plus an additional 200°.

For cotter pin alignment, tighten the nut up to, but do not exceed 60° additional rotation. Do not back off nut for cotter pin alignment.
5. Install the hub and bearing to the steering knuckle/drive axle.
6. Install the hub and bearing retaining bolts.
^
Tighten the hub and bearing bolts to 152 Nm (112 ft. lbs.).
