Cruise Control Switch: Testing and Inspection
Instrument Panel & Engagement Switches
1. Turn ignition switch to On position.
2. Connect test light to ground.
3. Probe three terminals of turn signal lever cruise harness connector with cruise switch in both Off and On-Auto positions. With switch in Off
position, there should be no power at any terminal. With switch in On-Auto position, test lamp should illuminate at B cavity. and amber indicator
should light.
4. Probe cavity D and depress Set/Coast switch. Lamp should illuminate.
5. Probe cavity C and depress Resume/Accel switch. Lamp should illuminate.
6. If results are satisfactory in step 3, but lamp does not illuminate in step 4 or 5, replace turn signal lever engagement switch.
