Oil Change Reminder Lamp: Service and Repair
Change Transmission Fluid Message
DESCRIPTION
The "CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID" message will be displayed at the recommended 100,000 mile fluid change interval.
When changing the transmission fluid, the bottom pan and the side cover must both be removed for draining.
RESETTING THE CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID MESSAGE AFTER AN OIL CHANGE

Turn the ignition "ON", but do not start the engine.

Press and Hold the "OFF" and "REAR DEFOG" simultaneously until the "TRANS FLUID RESET" message appears.

If the display does not reset, repeat the procedure. If the display still does not reset, there may be a problem with the computer system.
DETERMINATION OF FLUID CHANGE INTERVAL BY THE COMPUTER
The oil change interval will usually fall before the recommended service interval of 100,000 miles and is determined by accessing engine computer
data to determine severity of driving conditions based on coolant sensor, engine load and various data. The oil life index cannot determine excessively
dusty conditions or other malfunctions which may affect the fluid. More frequent fluid changes will be needed under these conditions.
NOTE: Reset the ""CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID" light after every oil change, even if the ""CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID"
message did not come on.
