Removal Procedure
Note:

Certain components and routing of the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister venting system may have been modified. Check for service bulletins.

Clean all EVAP line connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting, in order to avoid possible EVAP system contamination.
1. Remove the spare tire and wheel assembly.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the chassis wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the EVAP canister vent solenoid.
