Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure 

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the clamp holding the pipe to the turbo.
3. Remove the flange nuts connecting the front exhaust pipe manifold to the intermediate pipe.
4. Remove the front exhaust manifold pipe.

Installation Procedure 

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the front exhaust manifold pipe using a new flange gasket and nuts, to the intermediate pipe.

Tighten the nuts to 64 Nm(47 ft lbs). 

2. Install the front exhaust manifold pipe to the turbo using the new clamp.

Tighten the clamp to 12 Nm(106 lb in). 

3. Lower the vehicle.
