Subject: Third Row Seat Difficult to Remove and Install (Replace Third Seat Latch/Roller Bar and/or Remove Excessive Sealant)
Models:
2007-2012 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV
2007-2012 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe
2007-2012 GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali, Yukon Denali XL
Equipped with RPO AS3 or AW2 Seats
Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to add the 2012 model year. Please discard corporate bulletin number 06-08-50-006F (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).
Condition
Some customers may comment that the third row seat is difficult to remove and install.
Cause
This condition may be caused by the following:

The front floor latches on the seat being in the tumble position, which will not allow the seat to be installed.

The front floor latches being twisted, which will cause the inboard and outboard front latches to be out of sync.

Excessive body sealer below the striker, which will interfere with the front floor latch during the install.
Correction
1. Remove the seat.
2. Place the seat on its back so that the latches are visible.

The above illustration shows the latches in the correct position.
