Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect

1.

Disconnect accelerator cable from accelerator pedal

2.

Remove accelerator cable retainer

3.

Squeeze accelerator cable cover tangs and push cable through dash panel

4.

Remove accelerator cable retaining clip and accelerator cable

5.

Squeeze accelerator cable cover tangs and push cable through accelerator cable bracket

Install or Connect

1.

Install accelerator cable cover tangs through accelerator cable bracket

2.

Install accelerator cable retaining clip and accelerator cable

3.

Push accelerator cable through dash panel

4.

Install accelerator cable retainer

5.

Connect cable to accelerator pedal

6.

Apply heavy bodied sealer around accelerator cable at engine compartment side of dash panel
