6.

Remove the booster/master cylinder-to-mounting bracket bolts, using a 15mm socket and driver.

7.

Remove the hydraulic unit from the cowl area of the vehicle.

8.

Install the replacement hydraulic unit onto the cowl mounting bracket. Tighten the booster/master cylinder-to-mounting-bracket bolts to 50
N-m (37 lb. ft.) torque.

9.

Attach the front and rear pushrods in these steps:
A. Use two wrenches to connect the front and rear pushrods.
B. Reposition the dust boot.
C. Attach the rear pushrod to the brake pedal.

10.

Attach the three hydraulic channel lines, tightening the fitting nuts to 15 N-m (11 lb. ft.) torque.

11.

Install the pump.

12.

Attach the electrical connectors to the hydraulic unit.

13.

Charge the hydraulic accumulator and check for fluid leaks.

14.

Bleed the hydraulic system channels (see page 4-4).
