Removing Damper

12.

Install holding base, J-21052-02, on front hub.

13.

Tighten puller screw with a wrench until damper/hub is free.

INSTALLATION

1.

Lubricate hub bore with EP (extreme pressure) lubricant.

2.

Position damper on crankshaft.  Make sure that the hub key slot lines up with the crankshaft key.

Installing Damper Assembly

3.

Install hub with tool J-29774 until tool bottoms out.

4.

Install crankshaft pulley.  Apply Loctite to pulley bolts and tighten to:

20 Ft. Lbs. (27 Nm)

5.

Raise right side of cradle, install cradle body  bolts, and tighten.

NOTE:

Position ball joint to steering knuckle while raising cradle.

6.

Install front air deflector.

7.

Install right front tire.

8.

Lower car.

9.

Install serpentine belt.

10.

Reconnect negative battery cable.

11.

Recheck work for leaks and completeness.
