Liquid Line Filter Installation

Filter Ferrule And O-Ring Installed

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Nuts and ferrules.

Slip compression nut onto tube assembly (65) at cut ends of tube segments.

Slip ferrule onto each cut end of tube, tapered end toward nut.

NOTE: Do not install 0-rings at this time.

Push one tube end into filter fitting, bottoming it out while tightening nut to set ferrule. Repeat procedure with other tube end.

Tighten Nuts to 15 Nm (11 lbs. ft.).

2. Disassemble both joints.
3. 0-rings.

Coat both 0-rings with clean 525 viscosity refrigerant oil GM P/N 5416939 or equivalent and slip one 0-ring on each tube end until it
contacts the ferrule.

NOTE: Install filter (61) with orifice housing "downstream" (toward cowl) from round chamber enclosing filter pad and screens.

4. Liquid line tube segments to filter (61).

Tighten nuts to 15 Nm (11 lbs. ft.).

5. Tube assembly (65) and filter (61).
